Dan Page


Dan Page is a communications veteran. The Parkersburg, West Virginia, native worked in the newspaper business for more than 30 years as a reporter and editor in West Virginia and Ohio.

In 1984, Page became the founding editor of The State Journal, a statewide publication that covers business and government in West Virginia. While serving as editor, he became publisher of The State Journal in 2004.

Page was communications director for West Virginia Governor Cecil H. Underwood from 1997 to 2001. He later became the regional communications manager in Charleston for a publicly traded telecommunications company before serving as the communications manager for a statewide health care association.

Page has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from West Virginia University. As an adjunct faculty member, he has taught communications at the University of Charleston and West Virginia State University.

He is married and the father of three adult children and six grandchildren.
